Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year institution, or equivalent combo of education/experience.
• 4+ years SMT-manufacturing experience with capital equipment support and strong troubleshooting.
• Ability to read basic electrical schematics and work with Windows PC/Server environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–75% and engage in customer-facing activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of Omron inspection solution portfolio, standards and industry insights.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of equipment operation and programming.
• Assist customers with equipment decisions and technical discussions.
• Assist sales with demonstrations, evaluations, and promotional activities.
• Provide remote, phone and on-site customer support.
• Train customers and team members on technology topics.
• Develop training materials and cross-train on SPI, AOI and AXI products.
• Travel to customer sites and represent Omron professionally.
