Collaborate with OEMs, support product development, and guide design decisions while maintaining schedules. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in application or design engineering, a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, and hands-on seat

Qualifications

3–5 years of application or design engineering experience.
Experience in automotive seating or related systems preferred.
Ability to read vehicle diagrams, CAD models, and installation environments.

Responsibilities

Translate customer requirements into clear internal engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications for seating systems.
Collaborate with internal design, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams to ensure solutions are cost-effective, manufacturable and compliant with standards.
Support product development cycles including design validation, prototype builds, engineering change management, pre-production trials, and launch readiness.
Identify risks related to design feasibility, material selection, space constraints, and electrical performance; propose mitigations.
Prepare customer and internal presentations, design reviews, and technical summaries.
