Job summary

Crane Engineering Sales Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to support growth in an assigned market. You will blend technical knowledge with sales support to help customers and internal teams identify suitable solutions.

Responsibilities include creating accurate quotations, pricing, product training, and providing technical assistance during sales calls. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1+ year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• At least one year of related experience or training.
• Engineering, industry, or educational experience appropriate to the role.
• Strong customer-service orientation with responsive communication.
• Ability to manage a varied, fast-paced workload and meet requirements.
• Well-organized, self-directed team player.
• Proficiency with a variety of computer programs, including vendor software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product and application knowledge to support internal and external customers in the assigned market.
• Provide technical sales and marketing support to Crane customers and colleagues.
• Prepare high-quality quotations based on the specific application and information provided by the customer or Account Manager.
• Accurately price quotations and verify contractual obligations, internal costs, agency sales, and stock or drop shipments.
• Provide product training for customers and employees, and offer technical support during sales calls.
• Support sales and management staff by sharing information about major projects and related application needs.
• Assist office and warehouse staff with product and application information.
• Respond to technical and non-technical inquiries with a customer-focused approach.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
