Job Description:

As an Application Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Your responsibilities will include:

• Focusing on automotive and commercial vehicle industry customers, driving growth through customer collaboration, new application development, and product commercialization.
• Introducing 3M's new technology and products to customers to facilitate breakthrough NPI introductions.
• Leveraging 3M to drive Customer Inspired Innovation (CII) programs through market specialization that complements product expertise.
• Contributing proactively to the development of value propositions for effective commercialization in a competitive market.
• Providing field support for major customers.
• Improving productivity by leveraging e-tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in materials science, mechanical engineering, or related majors.
• At least 3 years of application development or process development experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues locally and globally to innovate, influence, and negotiate when required.
• Awareness of current safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures, with application to all assignments.
• Fluency in English and comfort working in a global organization.
• Self-motivated.
