Please review the following job description:

Accountable for building out cloud-related platforms, implementing cloud security and risk controls, and enabling applications and platforms through infrastructure as code, policy-as-code, or self-service tools across lines of business and corporate functions. Responsible for lifecycle management of infrastructure modules, ensuring compliance with industry security frameworks and test automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following summarizes the essential functions for this role. Other duties, both major and minor, may be performed, and specific activities may change over time.

1. Lead, guide, educate, and provide thought leadership to delivery teams on DevSecOps practices and frameworks.
2. Promote DevSecOps as a strategic asset to foster culture change and enhance business value delivery.
3. Determine the best tools for situations based on proficiency with multiple vendor products.
4. Develop and recommend DevSecOps best practices.
5. Design innovative solutions for complex DevSecOps lifecycle components using analytical thinking.
6. Work independently, seeking guidance only on the most complex issues.
7. Provide technical and process guidance to junior team members.
8. Build and maintain automation for software delivery and operations, leveraging expertise in vendor tools across the DevOps lifecycle, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, deployment strategies, logging, and performance monitoring.
9. Coordinate with the DevSecOps Center for Enablement (C4E) to ensure adherence to enterprise tools and practices and share team-specific insights.
10. Participate actively in the Truist Agile Guild and DevOps Communities of Practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of experience in development or support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Deep specialized or broad functional knowledge.
• Understanding of business strategies and processes.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Experience leading complex projects.
• Strong analytical skills to solve complex technical and business problems.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders to adopt new perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Business or Computer Science and over ten years of experience in software engineering or IT, including at least four years in roles involving git-based application development, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD pipeline support.
• Basic knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Ability to write code and construct basic application build pipelines.
• Experience with cloud services, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
• Skills in cloud service engineering, deployment pipelines, automated controls, and operating in regulated industries.
• Proven ability to design solutions based on business requirements.
• Experience in developing financial services cloud strategies.
