We seek eager, nimble, and ambitious trading platform developers to help Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading achieve and exceed its goals.

Your Impact

The Derivs Automation team builds algo trading, smart order routing, order management systems, and internalization for US Listed Options trading. Responsibilities include gathering requirements from clients, designing and developing trading strategies and platforms, and monitoring trading performance. The team interfaces with clients, sales, trading, compliance, legal, and other engineering teams to support our Electronic Options Trading business.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and maintain a high-performance, nimble trading platform for internal and external clients.
  2. Understand US Options market structure, regulations, exchange services, and implement necessary changes.
  3. Communicate with traders, sales, clients, and compliance officers regarding new features and existing functionalities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master in Computer Science/Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Java or C++.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Linux OS.
  • Experience developing order management systems and exchange connectivity for US markets.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Event Sourcing architecture.
  • Knowledge of JVM internals and low-latency tuning.
  • Experience building C++/Java systems with strict low-latency and deterministic performance requirements.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this position in New York is $150,000-$300,000, plus potential discretionary bonuses based on performance.
