Job summary

Visionist Inc. is seeking an Application Developer for a mission-critical, fully funded program supporting intelligence community needs. The role emphasizes reverse engineering tools, AI-assisted development, and rapid tooling improvements alongside analysts and engineers.

Candidates should have a background in low-level software, experience with Ghidra/IDA Pro, and strong scripting skills (Python or C/C++). Security clearance and US citizenship are required for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 6 years of application development experience (4 years with MS)
• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro
• Strong low-level concepts: Linux file formats, assembly, binaries, memory, calling conventions
• Experience developing tools, scripts, or plugins for analysis workflows
• Experience with at least one reverse engineering scripting or programming language (Python or C/C++)
• Familiarity with AI/LLMs and expanding hands-on AI-assisted development

Requirements For Your New Career…

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 6 years of experience in Application Development (4 years with a M.S. degree)
• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro
• Strong understanding of low-level concepts, including Linux file formats, assembly, binaries, memory, and calling conventions
• Experience developing tools, scripts, or plugins for analysis workflows
• Experience with at least one reverse engineering-relevant scripting or programming language, such as Python or C/C++
• Experience prototyping, evaluating, and refining experimental tooling
• Familiarity with AI/LLMs and an interest in expanding hands-on experience with AI-assisted development
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence

Salary range: $148,500 - $214,500
