Job summary

Brainlab is seeking a field-based professional to perform on-site clinical evaluations of image-guided surgery products. You will train physicians and OR staff, lead installations, and work with engineering to identify improvements, all while maintaining close customer relationships.

The role requires 50% regional travel and a base in Arizona, New Mexico, or the Las Vegas metro area, with compensation between USD 83,000 and 88,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biomedical field or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 months of technical support experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate product usage and improve IGS adoption.
• Provide on-site consulting to physicians and OR staff, solving problems during surgery.
• Lead installations and educate hospital personnel on IGS products and services.
• Suggest product improvements based on engineering insights.
• Act as primary customer liaison, visiting sites and seeking revenue through service contracts and parts.
• Collaborate with the Account Manager to identify opportunities and projects.
• Resolve product issues through detailed engineering analysis.
• Promote surgery products at trade shows.
• Travel regionally up to 50%.

Job Description

Home worksite (must be based in Arizona, New Mexico, or Las Vegas metro area)

• Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate the use of products and services to increase the frequency and quality of image-guided surgery (IGS) product usage
• Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel by evaluating options and problem-solving during surgery in order to maximize IGS efficiency and usage
• Lead installations and establish functionality at new and existing customer sites; educate/train physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical and Information Technologies staff, on the use of IGS products and services
• Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications
• Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining site visits and regular contact with customers, assessing satisfaction and usage levels, and working to increase revenue via the sale of service contracts, spare/wear parts, upgrades, etc.
• Regularly strategize with the Account Manager in your region to evaluate customer opportunities and open sales projects
• Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and utilization of engineering expertise
• Promote surgery products and services to surgeons at trade shows.
• 50% regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Innovation, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, or Nursing
• 6 months experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider.
