Title: Application Architect

Location: Oakbrook Terrace IL 60181-Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Contract: 12-month contract

Pay Rate: $70-$74/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Description

We are hiring a Junior Application Architect to support the design, development, and maintenance of applications. The role involves working on MS Access, Oracle AS8, IFS, AutoCAD, and Power BI-based systems, along with assisting in system migration and automation initiatives.

• Assist in application architecture design and implementation.
• Migrate MS Access databases and Oracle AS8 systems into IFS.
• Maintain and support applications built on Oracle and MS Access.
• Enhance and automate AutoCAD tools using LISP and VBA.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards with multiple data sources.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration.
• Develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept for new solutions.
• Identify and fix system issues and improve performance.
• Document application architecture and technical processes.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in application development or support.
• Hands‑on experience with MS Access, Oracle AS8, IFS, and SQL.
• Experience in Power BI dashboard development and data integration.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD with LISP and VBA automation.
• Basic understanding of system integration and application architecture.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
• Education: High School Diploma / Associate Degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD installation and setup.
• Knowledge of Power BI Gateway installation and maintenance.
• Experience in Visual Basic programming.
• Experience integrating Adobe Pro, Nitro Pro, or similar PDF tools.
• Exposure to JSL, Mainframe, DB2, and other RDBMS technologies.
