Akkodis is seeking an ADAS Sr. Software Engineer for a 12-month contract in San Jose, CA onsite. You will develop HMI software focusing on UI/UX, 3D graphics, and cross-platform C++ for automotive applications with a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes building graphics engines, integrating design assets, and deploying on concept vehicles. Candidates should have at least 5 years in software development and strong C++ and debugging skills, plus experience with Agile teams.

Akkodis is seeking an ADAS Sr. Software Engineer for a 12-month contractjob with a client in San Jose, CA 95134 (Onsite). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Automobile industry are a must.

Pay Range: $70 - $80/hr on W2, all-inclusive (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software, with a primary focus on UI/UX development, 3D graphics, and cross-platform C++ software engineering. The ideal candidate will work closely with designers, researchers, and software engineers to build high-quality visual experiences and integrated software solutions for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HMI software features, including 2D and 3D visual interfaces.
• Build, optimize, and troubleshoot C++ software across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, and engineers to implement UI/UX designs and visual features.
• Develop and maintain graphics engines, UI tools, and supporting software applications.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on C++ development as the primary programming language.
• Experience in UI/UX software development and design patterns such as MVC, MVP, or MVVM.
• Experience developing complex software in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and software optimization skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity3D, Godot, or proprietary engines.
• Familiarity with CMake or similar build systems.
• Network programming experience using TCP, UDP, or HTTP.
• Experience with modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17).
• Cross-platform development experience on Windows, Linux, and/or Android.
• Experience developing reusable software libraries and frameworks.
• Knowledge of memory management, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
