Akkodis is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a contract role with a client in Newark, DE, Plano, TX, and Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). Ideal candidates have a background in financial services and strong PL/SQL skills, Oracle 12c+, and experience with Python/C#.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Oracle 12c or above with strong PL/SQL coding skills.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Python and C# in a data/finance context.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Agile/Lean software methods and team ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Develop enhancements to existing functionality and architectural improvements.
• Troubleshoot and support system components as needed.
• Collaborate with Finance Technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions meeting business requirements.
• Work with Product Owner and business analysts to deliver stories and obtain sign-off.
• Contribute to application design and regression test automation.

Rate Range: $60-70/Hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Summary

The system in turn, posts these journals to down-stream general ledger systems for management reporting and control functions. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with C#, PL/SQL, Linux, Python & Oracle 19c and interact with senior stake holders. Flexible on mix of skills as the team is strong.

Desired Qualifications Experience

• Develop enhancements to existing functionality and architectural improvements to the system.
• periodically troubleshoot and support the components.
• work collaboratively with development teams in Finance Technology to deliver solutions end to end to meet business requirements.
• work closely with Product Owner and business analysts to deliver stories and gain sign-off.
• contribute to application design, regression test automation and other efficiency initiatives, as well as actively participating in all agile ceremonies.
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle 12c or above with strong experience coding PL/SQL procedures and functions/packages.
• Good OO design skills, knowledge of patterns and architectural understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven global team interaction.
• Willingness to learn, adopt and advance team best-practices, procedures and qualitative standards.
• Willingness to own issues and chase them through to completion, communicating effectively and in a timely manner, throughout.
• Good team communication, with experiences in sharing and presenting new ideas and approaches with the team.
• SQL performance tuning experience.

Nice to have Skills:

• Commercial experience of Python.
• C# experience developing Windows applications as opposed to pure web development.
• GIT/Bitbucket.
• Good understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices and associated tools.
• Investment banking experience, with front or back office team experience advantageous.
• A working knowledge of accounting with experience of corporate GL structures and flows would be beneficial.
