Job description

**Job Description:**

This position involves complex to expert-level work supporting healthcare information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing these systems.

Responsibilities include supporting electronic health records, registration, scheduling, billing, collections, lab and pathology, radiology, PACS, cardiovascular, pharmacy, home care, long-term care, population health, patient-facing technologies, ERP, workforce scheduling, time and attendance, and CRM systems.

The Principal Analyst oversees technical support, configuration, integration, and lifecycle management of healthcare applications, providing strategic guidance and project management. They mentor other analysts and develop best practices and standards.

Supervision of lower-level analysts may be required.

**Essential Functions**

  1. Provide stakeholder support by diagnosing and resolving issues.
  2. Gather and translate technical requirements into design specifications.
  3. Configure, test, install, implement, monitor, and maintain systems.
  4. Document workflows and recommend technical/functional improvements.
  5. Partner with vendors for third-party application support and integration.
  6. Resolve complex incidents and problems according to service levels.
  7. Manage projects, ensuring organized planning and execution, including acting as project manager for complex projects.
  8. Review project quality, manage demand and resources, and develop remediation plans.
  9. Mentor team members and identify training opportunities.
  10. Develop and uphold best practices and standards for technical duties.
  11. Follow documentation and change management standards.
  12. Participate in training development for peers and end-users.
  13. Configure and integrate hardware and software to meet client needs.
  14. Understand and develop business reporting requirements.
  15. Participate in on-call and command center duties.
  16. Develop testing plans and scripts to verify system integrity.
  17. Attend meetings to facilitate information flow and increase awareness.
  18. Assist in budget creation, forecasting, and justification.
  19. Participate in industry groups and community discussions.
  20. Manage IT project portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategy and delivery of value.
  21. Engage with leadership through meetings, advocating data-driven decision-making.
  22. Track project benefits and derive lessons learned for future governance.
  23. Provide detailed project information for leadership decision-making.
  24. Conduct service reviews with facility and medical group leaders, communicating survey results and improvements.

**Skills**

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Deep knowledge of business and application systems.
  • Understanding of system analysis and hospital operating systems.
  • Skill in needs assessment and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret industry publications and regulations.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Leadership in project management and resource planning.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, healthcare, business, or related field (additional experience may substitute).
  • Healthy Planet Compass Rose certification.
  • 3+ years experience with Epic Care Management tools.
  • 2+ years building Epic Compass Rose programs.
  • Experience with collaborative care plans and SDoH.
  • Experience with Reporting Workbench reports.
  • Experience with Epic modules, including Ambulatory or ClinDoc.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Epic applications.
  • Eight years of healthcare experience.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Operate computers and IT equipment.
  • Read monitors and documents.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods.

**Location:** Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

**Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 40

The hourly rate ranges from $53.58 to $84.36, dependent on experience.
