Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for an Epic Healthy Planet - Application Analyst Lead to join our team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN.

Under general direction, responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting. This position will serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes. This includes data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support. Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation. Ensures that the software build meets organizational goals and external mandates such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use. Has technical knowledge of all phases of application system analysis and project management. May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of other Application analysts, personnel, and project team members. Acts as project leader for projects with moderate to large budgets or system-wide implications, multiple projects of a short to long-term duration, and medium to large projects.

Essential Duties:

  1. Manage stakeholder expectations by analyzing expectations and requirements.
  2. Identify project issues and risks and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
  3. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete tasks.
  4. Participate in several projects at one time.
  5. Lead multiple projects concurrently.
  6. Provide advanced knowledge of product features, functionality, and utilization of the application software.
  7. Monitor system effectiveness and/or performance to determine if there are any potential problems, report critical findings to peers and/or manager, and resolve complex problems.
  8. Participate/lead in disaster recovery initiatives.
  9. Review and test changes, interfaces, data conversion, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.
  10. Serve as the technical lead for the team and provide training to other team members.
  11. Work as the primary technical liaison with vendors, interface team, client/server, and all other technicians.
  12. Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
  13. Provide 24/7 support when scheduled.
  14. Resolve or triage support calls as applicable.
  15. Serve as a resource to Associate, Intermediate, and Senior level analysts as needed for resolution of support calls.
  16. Develop and maintain test scripts to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
  17. Support the training team by keeping trainers informed of new functionality and system changes.
  18. Develop and maintain documentation on the organization's file share platform.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with seven years' related experience or a minimum of four years' direct experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must obtain training required to support primary application (e.g., Epic Willow Inpatient, Epic Willow Ambulatory, Epic Beacon, Epic Ambulatory, Epic Compass Rose, Epic Willow Inventory, Omnicell) within 6 months.
