Job description

Job Description:

This position involves complex to expert-level work supporting healthcare IT applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing systems such as electronic health records, registration, scheduling, billing, lab, radiology, PACS, pharmacy, and more.

The Principal Analyst oversees technical support, configuration, integration, and lifecycle management of healthcare applications, providing strategic guidance and project management. They mentor other analysts, develop best practices, and may supervise lower-level staff.

Essential Functions
  1. Support stakeholders by diagnosing and resolving issues.
  2. Translate technological requirements into design specifications.
  3. Configure, test, install, and maintain systems.
  4. Document workflows and technical designs.
  5. Partner with vendors for third-party application support.
  6. Resolve complex incidents according to service standards.
  7. Manage projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  8. Review team projects and manage resources.
  9. Mentor team members and identify training opportunities.
  10. Develop and adhere to documentation and change management standards.
  11. Create training materials for peers and end-users.
  12. Configure hardware and software integrations.
  13. Develop business reports for end-users.
  14. Participate in on-call duties and command center responsibilities.
  15. Develop testing plans and scripts.
  16. Attend team and leadership meetings, advocating data-driven decisions.
  17. Assist with budget planning and management.
  18. Participate in industry groups and user communities.
  19. Manage IT project portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment and value delivery.
  20. Report project benefits and lessons learned.
  21. Communicate project details to leadership for decision-making.
  22. Conduct service reviews with business leaders.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare applications and systems analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Strategic resource planning abilities.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, healthcare, business, or related field.
  • Healthy Planet Compass Rose certification.
  • 3+ years experience with Epic Care Management tools.
  • 2+ years experience with Epic Compass Rose programs.
  • Experience with collaborative care plans and SDoH.
  • Proficiency with Reporting Workbench reports.
  • Experience with Epic modules such as Ambulatory or ClinDoc.
  • Strong Epic application build, configuration, and maintenance skills.
  • At least 8 years of healthcare experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Operate computers and IT equipment.
  • Read monitors and documents.
  • Remain seated or standing for extended periods.

Location: Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Hours: 40 hours/week, hourly rate $53.58 - $84.36, dependent on experience
