Job Description:
This position involves complex to expert level work supporting information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing them. These applications include electronic health records, registration, scheduling, billing, lab and pathology, radiology, PACS, cardiovascular, pharmacy, home care, long-term care, population health, consumer and patient-facing technologies, enterprise resource planning, workforce scheduling, and CRM systems.
The Principal Analyst oversees technical support, configuration, integration, and maintenance throughout the lifecycle of healthcare applications. They provide strategic guidance, ensure alignment with organizational goals, manage projects, mentor other analysts, and develop best practices and standards. Supervisory responsibilities may include lower-level analysts.
Essential functions are performed independently with minimal supervision and include analyzing problems, translating requirements, configuring and maintaining systems, documenting workflows, collaborating with vendors, solving complex issues, managing projects, mentoring teams, developing training materials, and participating in meetings and industry groups. They also manage IT project portfolios, track benefits, and communicate with stakeholders.
Skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Office, in-depth application knowledge, system analysis, problem-solving, communication, project management, resource planning, and strategic management.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in IT, healthcare, or related fields; certifications; specific Epic Care Management and Compass Rose experience; and at least 8 years of healthcare experience.
Physical requirements involve operating computers, visual tasks, and sitting or standing for extended periods.
The position is based at Peaks Regional Office in Broomfield, Colorado, with a 40-hour workweek. The hourly rate ranges from $53.58 to $84.36, depending on experience.
