Job summary

RES is seeking an Application Analyst II – Power Platform & M365 to support business applications across the Americas. You will partner with business teams to troubleshoot, implement features, and standardize processes while maintaining trusted apps. The role is hybrid in Denver with in-office presence required.

You will administer Power Platform, create reports, manage security, and participate in on-call rotations. Strong communication and ITIL familiarity are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Business or 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in application support/analyst role.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
  • Knowledge of help desk ticketing software, preferably ServiceNow.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance in a cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Platform and M365 applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v3 or related service delivery frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management as a team member.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely resolution support through troubleshooting, research, and resolution.
  • Plan and advise on managing large numbers of Power Automate and App solutions.
  • Guide adoption of standards for managing multiple applications and scaling development.
  • Administer and configure Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Act as a global administrator for power platform users in a M365 tenant.
  • Oversee application health including security, availability, and performance.
  • Design and modify applications to meet functional requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate with leaders to align plans with strategic goals.
  • Test, debug, and document enhancements to business applications.
  • Author and review technical usage and admin guides for adoption.
  • Identify trends in issues and implement approved improvements.
  • Write custom reports and SQL queries.
  • Present evaluations to senior management with suggested next steps.
  • Mentor other support resources in their area of expertise.
  • Handle additional assignments related to supported applications.
  • Model safety and quality in all tasks.

Summary

The Application Analyst II – Power Platform & M365 is the primary source of information, advice, and support for business applications and their associated processes. They partner with the business and departmental specialists to support, troubleshoot, and implement features and functionality of the applications in their areas of responsibility. The Application Analyst II provides efficient and consistent use of trusted applications throughout RES Americas and coordinates with other IT functions across the globe to ensure standardization of support and processes.

This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office.

Responsibilities
  • Provides timely and quality resolution support through troubleshooting, research, and resolution.
  • Assists in planning and consulting on how to effectively manage large numbers of Power Automate and App solutions within the organization.
  • Guides the organization in adopting standards for managing many applications and scaling up development.
  • Provides expert level administration and configuration of Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Functions as a global administrator in a commercial M365 tenant for power platform users.
  • Oversees the operational health of the application including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability.
  • Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements, including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results.
  • Partners with functional leaders to identify strategic objectives, determine functional needs and requirements, and craft comprehensive plans for continuous application development aligned with those goals and needs.
  • Tests, debugs, and documents enhancements to business applications.
  • Authors and routinely reviews technical documentation necessary to facilitate usage and adoption of applications, including user and admin guides; routinely review documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Identifies trends in customer issues, recommends improvements, and implements approved improvements.
  • Writes custom reports and SQL queries.
  • Presents and communicates with senior-level management on the evaluation of the current solution, proposed solution, and the optional and recommended next steps.
  • Mentors and coaches other application support resources within their area of expertise.
  • Assumes responsibilities for additionally assigned assignments related to supported applications.
  • Presents, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Assesses and works with the business to obtain business requirements and understand the business needs.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation to provide tier 1 troubleshooting for critical systems, beyond daily supported applications.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Anticipated base salary range: $80,000 - $100,000. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
