Job description

Our Fortune 500 Utility Client is seeking an Application Analyst to join their team in St. Pete, FL. This person will be responsible for coordinating application releases and deployments across Enterprise Asset Management systems and related technologies. Serves as the central point of coordination for release planning, readiness reviews, deployment activities, stakeholder communications, risk management, issue escalation, and post-release support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing release schedules, deployment plans, readiness checkpoints, risk logs, and status reporting.
• Coordinating with application, infrastructure, testing, business, vendor, and Change Management teams to ensure successful releases.
• Leading release planning meetings, readiness reviews, implementation activities, and post-release retrospectives.
• Tracking dependencies, risks, defects, blockers, and validation activities while supporting go/no-go decisions.
• Communicating release readiness, deployment status, issues, and outcomes to technical teams, business partners, and leadership.
• Supporting production incidents, failed deployments, and critical events by coordinating recovery efforts and escalations.
• Ensuring compliance with Change Management, testing, documentation, and release management standards.
• Identifying process improvements and promoting repeatable, efficient release management practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related business or information technology experience.
• Work experience in addition to degree: 1 to 3 years of experience as an IT Application Analyst, Release Analyst, Release Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Change Management Analyst, or equivalent.

Job-specific knowledge, skills, or abilities:

• Experience coordinating application releases, deployments, implementation activities, or production changes.
• Experience developing and maintaining release plans, implementation schedules, readiness trackers, status reports, risk logs, and action-item trackers.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Experience coordinating work across application, infrastructure, database, environment, testing, vendor, and business teams.
• Working knowledge of Change Management, incident management, application support, testing, and production implementation practices.
• Ability to track multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, decisions, and milestones simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical teams, business partners, users, IT management, and leadership.
• Ability to work effectively with limited direction while exercising sound judgment regarding communication, escalation, and release readiness.
• Ability to support implementation activities outside normal business hours, including evening and weekend release windows, when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Enterprise Asset Management applications or other complex, integrated enterprise application portfolios.
• Experience coordinating major releases, sprint releases, emergency releases, maintenance releases, and off-cycle deployments.
• Demonstrated success supporting high-visibility or business-critical implementations.
• Experience facilitating release readiness reviews, pre-job briefings, go/no-go discussions, implementation status calls, and post-release retrospectives.
• Experience with technical checkout, functional checkout, testing validation, defect tracking, and production readiness.
• Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall delivery.
• Experience with ServiceNow or comparable IT service management and Change Management tools.
• Experience working with vendors and geographically distributed application support and delivery teams.

Logistics:

• 36 month W2 contract with strong potential for extension
