Job summary

Longevity Health is seeking an Application Analyst to join the IT team to develop and maintain clinical and operational application systems including EMR, and to support staff with guidance on electronic systems. The role includes light project management and coordination with vendors and partners.

Qualifications

• Certification or Associate's degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience in clinical and/or operational application systems management.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical or insurance setting.
• Preference for SNF or post-acute experience.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support IT, clinical, and operational teams with clinical and technical details for development, maintenance, optimization, testing and support of Longevity’s clinical and operational electronic systems.
• Assist with project management and implementation of changes; translate requests into executable changes.
• Perform configuration within clinical and/or operational applications and provide guidance to development staff.
• Provide documentation, training materials, and guides for application systems.
• On-call support for major outages and 24x7x365 availability.

Job Summary: The Application Analyst will function as a key part of the Longevity Health Information Technology (IT) team. This Application Analyst position will assist in the development and maintenance of Longevity Health Clinical and Operational Application systems including EMR and supporting LHP staff in providing guidance and expertise about the electronic systems. This also includes other task driven projects in a timely manner within Longevity and with other vendors and partners. Other tasks include light project management and coordinating throughout the organization with vendors and partners. This position has primary responsibility for the configuration, testing, and guidance to development staff for our clinical and/or operational systems along with other staff members as part of the Clinical Informatics Team. In addition, this position must be able to appropriately escalates and identify additional resources needed to resolve complex issues that are beyond this position’s responsibilities. The ideal candidate must possess effective communication skills, a congenial customer service attitude, and a proactive work ethic.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support the IT, clinical, and operational teams with both clinical and technical details related to the development, maintenance, optimization, testing and support of Longevity’s clinical and operational electronic systems.
• Assist the IT, clinical, and operational teams to identify, define, and determine feasibility of clinical and/or operational application needs and assist with project management and implementation of changes.
• Translate optimization initiatives and user requests into specific changes in the clinical and/or operational electronic systems that are meaningful and executable.
• Translate technical requirements to team members and execute configuration within clinical and/or operational applications.
• Assist with Conceptual and Technical design.
• Performing in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, and reporting.
• Assist with and resolving IT help desk tickets related to our clinical and/or operational application systems.
• Onboarding/Offboarding of users in our clinical and/or operational application systems.
• Interact and communicate effectively with APPs, Physicians, and other healthcare executives while consistently exhibiting professional behavior and demonstrating excellent customer service.
• Responsible to provide documentation, training materials, and training guides for clinical and/or application systems.
• Responsible to learn and understand functionality of clinical and/or operational application systems and provide guidance for other IT and clinical and/or operational team members.
• Provides training and assistance to IT support staff who provide first level of support on how to respond to basic questions and troubleshooting for staff on electronic systems.
• Provides second level support and troubleshooting for staff on the clinical and/or operational application systems.
• Assists in the testing clinical and/or operational systems for updates, releases, and new functionality to assure error free implementation and smooth transitions.
• Coordinates with rest of the IT team to provide understanding of clinical and/or operational application systems.
• Provides support with escalated service desk requests.
• Educates IT team members.
• Works within the change management process.
• Required on call support for major outages concerning primary data systems responsible for 24x7x365.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
• Credentials & Coverage: Valid state driver's license with a good driving record and proof of automobile insurance required.
• Auto insurance coverage as required by your state of residence. New employees will be responsible for providing proof of coverage prior to hire and on an ongoing basis.
• Education and Training: Certification and/or Associate's degree is required.
• Knowledge and Experience: At minimum 2 years of experience in clinical and/or operational application systems application management required.
• At least 2 years of experience a clinical or insurance setting.
• Prefer candidates with SNF or any post-acute experience.
