Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking an Application Administrator II to design and configure vendor-purchased and NMHC apps. You will liaison with super users, vendors, educators, and support staff to upgrade and optimize the system while focusing on one primary application area.

Role includes security coordination, incident management, and involvement in payer reimbursement workflows within Revenue Integrity, reporting to the Manager of Revenue Integrity.

Qualifications

  • Certification/associate degree or 3 years of related application use with health care experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, health care, or related field preferred.
  • Experience using information technology in daily operations in health care settings.
  • Knowledge of database structure and reporting techniques/tools.

  • Maintain, optimize, and support the application system environment.
  • Coordinate user security including roles and templates with IT and security teams.
  • Support payer reimbursement workflows and translate contract terms to system specs.

About This Position

The Application Administrator II is an application design and configuration analyst for vendor‑purchased and NMHC developed applications. Acts as liaison with designated department super users, application vendors, educators, and support staff regarding application upgrades, service requests, and optimization. The position focuses on one primary area of expertise, often cross‑trained on a related application. Areas include patient access, revenue cycle, clinical, ancillary department, and/or administrative or corporate applications. The Administrator works under the direction of the IT Application Administrator Lead or IT Project Manager and closely with IT Resource Educators, Infrastructure Services staff, and Customer Support staff to maintain, optimize, and support the application system environment.

Security: Additional knowledge and coordination of user security, including user role definition and templates, source systems for user identification and integration with network services is expected. The Administrator works closely with application and infrastructure staff to support IT security policy and procedures.

Revenue Integrity: Additional duties in the Revenue Integrity department focus on payer reimbursement and payer contracts. The Administrator is involved in the payer reimbursement workflow process, addressing incidents and problem management, service request management, and change control management. The Administrator translates payer contract terms and requirements to system specifications while evaluating current system capabilities. This role reports to the Manager of Revenue Integrity.

Requirements
Education

Required: certification/associate degree or 3 years of related application use with business or health care work experience. Prefer: bachelor’s degree in information technology, health care, or related field.

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a health care related field using information technology in daily operations.
  • Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process development or problem resolution.
  • Demonstrated customer service methodology and accountability.
  • Knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination.
  • Knowledge of database structure and reporting techniques and tools.
Licensure / Certification
  • Maintained professional/clinical competence, certification and/or licensure as applicable.
  • Certified training, followed by demonstrated competency certification in applicable software within six (6) weeks of class completion.

Salary Range: N22 ($37.49 - $56.23), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
