About the Position
The Application Administrator, Senior is an application design and configuration expert for both vendor‑purchased and North Memorial Health Care (NMHC) developed applications. The role acts as a liaison with department business owners, super users, application vendors, educators, and support staff to manage application upgrades, requests, and optimization. The senior administrator is cross‑trained across related applications including patient access, clinical, ancillary, administrative, and corporate systems, and serves as a resource and mentor to other team members and IT departments.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain NMHC and vendor‑sourced applications.
- Coordinate user security, role definitions, and integration with network services.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure staff to support IT security policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and related IT staff.
Requirements
- Education: Required certification, associate degree, or 3 years of related application experience; preferred bachelor’s degree in information technology, health care, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in an Epic senior analyst role.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills; expertise in customer service methodology; working knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination; knowledge of database structure and reporting tools.
- Licensure / Certification: Maintain professional/clinical competence, certifications, and/or licensure as applicable. Obtain and demonstrate competency certification in relevant software within six weeks of training completion.
