Job summary

Sherman’s Place Inc. is seeking an Appliance Service Technician in Peoria, IL. You will diagnose and repair home appliances in customers’ homes, plan routes, and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver reliable service.

The role focuses on hands-on problem solving, clear communication, and a calm, patient demeanor to turn stressful situations into positive outcomes. Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair home appliances in customers' homes.
• Review routes in shop, gather parts, and discuss repairs with teammates.
• Drive company van to customer locations and communicate findings clearly.
• Troubleshoot problems with teammates and learn from ongoing experiences.
• Remain dependable, helping customers feel informed and cared for.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and adapt to evolving appliance technology.

Starting Wage: $26/hour

Schedule: 5-Day WorkWeek, Monday– Friday

Hours: 7:30am - until route is done (end time varies)

Sherman’s Appliance Service Technicians diagnose and repair home appliances in customer’s homes. You will help us create customers for life by solving issues quickly and without hassle. It’s your job to WOW customers with your expertise and helpfulness.
