Job summary

Grand Appliance and TV in Kalona, IA is seeking an Appliance Repair Administrative Assistant to support the service department on-site. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will handle service requests, schedule appointments, and coordinate with technicians, while entering data into internal systems and assisting with warranty paperwork and payments. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer appliance repair calls promptly and professionally.
• Record complete service requests with customer and appliance details.
• Enter requests into customer systems.
• Flag emergencies and escalate to Service Manager.
• Explain steps to customers and coordinate scheduling windows.
• Assist scheduler with booking and confirming appointments.
• Help technicians with post-job paperwork and warranty/claims paperwork.
• Record and receive customer payments.
• Handle phone lines during breaks and busy times.
