Job summary

Grand Appliance in Kalona, IA, is seeking an Appliance Repair Administrative Assistant to support our service department. This on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and focuses on accurate service requests, scheduling, and billing preparation.

You will answer calls, collect customer details, enter data into internal systems, assist the scheduler and technicians, and help with warranty paperwork. A high school diploma and customer-service experience are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming appliance repair calls promptly and professionally.
• Take complete service requests, recording customer details and appliance information.
• Enter requests into customer systems.
• Flag emergencies (gas odor, sparking, standing water) and escalate to Service Manager.
• Explain steps to customers and schedule dates and arrival windows.
• Assist scheduler in booking and confirming appointment times.
