Applewild School in Fitchburg, MA, is seeking a Creative Content & Communications Specialist to tell engaging stories about students, faculty, and programs. You’ll shoot short videos on your phone, craft compelling narratives, and build social campaigns while managing the school’s content across channels.

The role focuses on content creation, editorial writing, website content, and SEO, with opportunities to collaborate across admissions and advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in content creation, social media, communications, photography, or videography.
• Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for composition and pacing.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Experience with website CMS and managing web projects independently.
• Self-starter, organized, collaborative, and effective on a lean budget.

Applewild School is looking for a creative, resourceful storyteller to join our team. If you can shoot a compelling video on your phone, write a great story, and build a social campaign, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do

• Find and tell stories about our students, faculty, programs, and traditions
• Create photos, short‑form videos, Reels, and student and faculty features

What we’re looking for

• Experience in content creation, social media, communications, photography, or videography
• Strong writing and editing skills, plus a good eye for composition and pacing
• Experience with Canva, Adobe, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
• Website CMS experience and the ability to manage web projects independently
• A self‑starter who is organized, collaborative, and resourceful on a lean budget

Preferred:

2+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), website redesign experience, and an interest in education.

About Applewild:

An independent day and boarding school (early childhood through Grade 9) with campuses in Fitchburg and Devens. After a successful capital campaign, we’re growing, with restored historic spaces and a new 50,000 sq. ft. Athletics and Wellness Center. You’ll help share that story.

Schedule:

Full‑time, primarily on campus, with occasional evenings and weekends.
