Job summary

HCS Technology Group seeks an experienced Apple Device Management Administrator to deploy and operate a DMS/MDM in an education setting. This onsite role supports central office operations and site troubleshooting, coordinating with provisioning partners and vendor support teams.

You will lead onboarding, configure device workflows, manage ASM and VPP tokens, and provide hands-on coaching to site staff, ensuring reliable deployment and strong end‑user experiences.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Apple School Manager, MDM/DMS platforms (Jamf, Mosyle, Intune for Apple), and VPP.
• Experience administering Apple device deployments in an enterprise or education environment.
• Ability to produce clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate with vendor support teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and initial setup of the customer’s chosen DMS/MDM solution.
• Develop, configure, and administer DMS workflows including restrictions, app scoping, and site-defined customizations.
• Communicate DMS workflow documentation to provisioning partner to support QC requirements.
• Provide ongoing administration of devices in Apple School Manager (ASM) and migration to new DMS.
• Manage and renew VPP tokens and enable deployment workflows across sites.
• Coach site support staff and resolve site trouble tickets within vendor SLAs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Apple Device Management Administrator to support the deployment, administration, and ongoing operations of a customer’s selected Device Management Solution (DMS/MDM) within an education environment. This role will be hands‑on and onsite, supporting both central office operations and school site troubleshooting when needed. This position will work closely with site support teams, a provisioning partner, and vendor support teams to ensure reliable deployment workflows and an excellent end‑user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and initial setup of the customer’s chosen DMS/MDM solution
• Develop, configure, and administer DMS workflows including:
• Device restrictions
• Application scoping
• Site‑defined customizations (including coaching and support)
• Communicate DMS workflow documentation to provisioning partner to support development of partner provisioning QC requirements
• Provide ongoing administration of devices in Apple School Manager (ASM)
• Manage migration of existing devices to the new DMS solution via Apple School Manager
• Manage and renew VPP (Volume Purchase Program) tokens
• Deliver one‑to‑many technical coaching and workflow development for site support staff
• Resolve site trouble tickets using the customer‑supplied help desk ticketing system
• Escalate to vendor support teams when appropriate
• SLA resolution targets will be a goal, not a strict requirement
• Support vendor troubleshooting efforts for site‑based technical issues within vendor‑established SLAs
• Establish deployment best practices that align with established classroom experience (as applicable)
• This role is based in the Fort Worth, TX region and will work from a central office
• Candidate must be able to schedule onsite visits to assist with site‑based troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience administering Apple device deployments in an enterprise or education environment
• Hands‑on expertise with:
  • Apple School Manager
  • MDM/DMS platforms (Jamf, Mosyle, Intune for Apple, etc.)
  • VPP / Apps and Books
• Experience designing and managing device workflows including restrictions, scoping, and profiles
• Ability to produce clear documentation for technical and non‑technical audiences
• Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort collaborating with vendor support teams
• Ability to coach and train site support staff in a structured, scalable way
• Strong communication skills and ability to work onsite with multiple stakeholders
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Jamf

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with public school environments and teacher experience expectations
• Experience working with provisioning partners and QC workflow design
