Job summary

Hybrid Apparel seeks an Apparel Associate Technical Designer in Cypress, CA to support the Tech Design team, ensuring high-quality construction, fit, and garment performance.

You will collaborate with design, merchandising, and production, prepare tech packs, assist with fit sessions, sample development, and maintain the tech pack database, while upholding deadlines.

This temporary role offers exposure to a global apparel operation and a chance to grow technical design skills in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in technical design or a related role within the apparel industry.
• Experience with garment construction, patternmaking, and fitting processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical design software (PLM, Illustrator, Photoshop, Gerber or similar) preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical specifications (tech packs) with measurements and fabrics.
• Support fit evaluations and document corrections.
• Prepare sample requests and track development timelines.
• Assess garment construction and offer technical improvements.
• Coordinate with factories and vendors on technical adjustments.
• Maintain and update the tech pack database.
• Validate grade rules for different sizes per account.
• Collaborate with design, production, and merchandising teams.
• Ensure quality control for fit, construction, or material issues.
