Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is seeking a team member to sort apparel and soft line goods for sale or salvage under the Store Manager's direction. You will ensure quality by checking for tears, stains, and defects, while delivering outstanding donor and customer service.

The role requires daily sorting tasks, adherence to DURT principles, and collaboration with the team to maintain organized stock and floor presentation. Applicants should be able to work in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class customer service and donor delight.
• Sort apparel and soft line goods into salable or salvage categories.
• Check items for tears, stains, odors, or other defects to ensure quality.
• Maintain a neat and clean sorting and processing area.
• Assist with pricing, tagging and transporting apparel as needed.
• Stay current with brand names, designer labels, and price points for soft line goods.
• Identify potential e-commerce items and notify manager on duty.
• Follow safety and security practices and adhere to company policies.
