Job summary

Ventures Unlimited, Inc. is seeking an API/Cloud Engineer to advance Apigee Hybrid/X implementations across multi-cloud environments. You will install, configure, deploy, and maintain API Management platforms, develop APIs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, scripting (Python/PowerShell), and logging/monitoring skills are essential. You'll collaborate with API architects, support 3rd-party tooling like Splunk, Postman, and JMeter, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE Hybrid.
• Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE, troubleshooting API failures.
• Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter.
• Strong understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service Technologies (SOAP, REST), OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, SSO implementation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for Apigee.
• Expertise in Kubernetes to automate deployment, scaling and management.
• Experience with containerization.
• Experience with source control tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub.
• Hands-on cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS and/or GCP) and cloud architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implements Enterprise API and Integration platforms strategy from a technical perspective, including design and maintenance of ApigeeX infrastructure.
• Perform cert renewals and manage GCP secrets for deployments.
• Deploy APIGEE X using Terraform-based automation.
• Enhance automation scripts (Terraform, Python, Ansible) for APIGEEX upgrades.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and scale APIS deployed on APIGEEX.
• Collaborate with API/integration architects on design, testing, and production deployments.
• Work with 3rd party logging tools like Splunk and APIGEE X analytics to generate reports.
• Develop pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Identify dependencies and coordinate with cross-functional teams to remove roadblocks.
