Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions is seeking an API engineering professional to install, configure, deploy, and maintain APIGEE Hybrid and Apigee X platforms. You will develop APIs, troubleshoot failures, and work with CI/CD pipelines across multiple cloud environments.

You will also automate deployments with Terraform and scripts, manage certificates and secrets, and collaborate with architects to ensure scalable, secure API services. Experience with Kubernetes and logging tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining APIGEE Hybrid and Apigee X.
• Strong API development and troubleshooting in APIGEE.
• Experience with Postman and JMeter.
• Knowledge of XML/JSON, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, logging policies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Apigee; cloud experience across Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Hands-on Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash/PowerShell.
• Experience with enterprise API management and integrations.
• Hands-on cloud engineering across Azure, AWS, GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Apigee X infrastructure.
• Renew certificates and manage GCP Secrets.
• Deploy APIGEE X using Terraform automation.
• Enhance automation scripts (Terraform, Python, Ansible) for upgrades.
• Plan capacity and infrastructure expansion for APIGEE X.
• Monitor, alert, and troubleshoot APIs on APIGEE X.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues of APIGEE X deployments.
• Collaborate with API/integration architects on design and production deployment.
• Work with Splunk and ApigeeX analytics to generate daily/weekly reports.
• Automations on Google Cloud Platform; pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Identify dependencies and blockers with cross-functional teams.

1. 1. Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE Hybrid ,Apigee X
2. 2. Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE, troubleshooting API failures
3. 3. Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter etc.
4. 4. Good understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service Technologies (SOAP, REST), OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT,SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, Caching
5. 5. Good understanding of implementation of CI/CD pipeline for Apigee
6. 6. Expertise in Kubernetes to automate application deployment, scaling and management
7. 7. Experience with containerization
8. 8. Experience with any Source Control Tools such as Bitbucket, Git Hub etc.
9. 9. Experienced with languages such as Python, Go, Bash and/or PowerShell.
10. 10. Solid understanding of AGILE principals and methodologies, with experience in the SCRUM and SAFe frameworks
11. 11. Extensive hands‑on experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms such as APIGEE Hybrid and Apigee X.
12. 12. Hands‑on cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS and/or GCP) building effective cloud technology solutions
13. 13. Experience in cloud architecture (cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, security, costing)

• • Implements Enterprise API and Integration platforms strategy from a technical perspective, including design,
• planning, integration, maintenance, and support of ApigeeX infrastructure architecture
• • Perform cert renewals and update GCP secret managers for deploying the certs using Automation.
• • Perform deployment of APIGEE X using existing automation written in Terraform
• • Enhance automation scripts (Terraform, Python, Ansible) to support APIGEEX upgrades
• • Perform periodic capacity planning/infrastructure expansion for APIGEEX
• • Monitoring, Alerting, Troubleshooting of APIS deployed on APIGEEX
• • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the infrastructure on which the APIGEEX are deployed
• • Works closely with the API and Integration platforms architect(s) on activities such as API design,
• implementation, testing, production deployment and support
• • Able to work with 3rd party logging tools Splunk, ApigeeX analytics and generate daily and weekly reports
• • Able to understand and work on automations on Google cloud platform
• • Able to work and develop pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• • Identify technical dependencies and roadblocks proactively and work with cross-functional teams to remove them
