Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Louisville, KY is seeking an Engineer to implement and manage enterprise API management using APIGEE X in a hybrid cloud environment. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining Apigee-based APIs, with strong emphasis on CI/CD, Kubernetes, and automation.

You will collaborate with architecture teams to deliver scalable integrations and reliable cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE Hybrid and APIGEE X.
• Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE and troubleshooting API failures.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, and XML/JSON.
• Hands-on automation with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash/PowerShell.
• Experience with Kubernetes for deployment, scaling and management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proficient in source control tools such as GitHub/Bitbucket and agile frameworks (SCRUM/SAFe).

Responsibilities

• Implements enterprise API and integration platforms strategy, including APIGEE X infrastructure design.
• Perform cert renewals and manage GCP secret managers for deployments.
• Deploy APIGEE X using Terraform and enhance automation scripts.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and scale APIS deployed on APIGEE X.
• Collaborate with architects on API design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
• Work with logging tools like Splunk and APIGEE X analytics; generate reports.
• Develop pipelines using Azure DevOps and manage cloud automation on GCP.

Required Skills

• 1. Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE Hybrid,

• 2. Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE, troubleshooting API failures
• 3. Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter etc.
• 4. Good understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service Technologies (SOAP, REST), OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT,
• SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, Caching
• 5. Good understanding of implementation of CI/CD pipeline for Apigee
• 6. Expertise in Kubernetes to automate application deployment, scaling and management
• 7. Experience with containerization
• 8. Experience with any Source Control Tools such as Bitbucket, Git Hub etc.
• 9. Experienced with languages such as Python, Go, Bash and/or PowerShell.
• 10. Solid understanding of AGILE principals and methodologies, with experience in the SCRUM and SAFe
• frameworks
• 11. Extensive hands-on experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms such as APIGEE
• Hybrid and Apigee X.
• 12. Hands-on cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS and/or GCP) building effective cloud technology

• 13. Experience in cloud architecture (cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, security, costing)

Roles & Responsibilities

• * Implements Enterprise API and Integration platforms strategy from a technical perspective, including design,
• planning, integration, maintenance, and support of ApigeeX infrastructure architecture
• * Perform cert renewals and update GCP secret managers for deploying the certs using Automation.
• * Perform deployment of APIGEE X using existing automation written in Terraform
• * Enhance automation scripts (Terraform, Python, Ansible) to support APIGEEX upgrades
• * Perform periodic capacity planning/infrastructure expansion for APIGEEX
• * Monitoring, Alerting, Troubleshooting of APIS deployed on APIGEEX
• * Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the infrastructure on which the APIGEEX are deployed
• * Works closely with the API and Integration platforms architect(s) on activities such as API design,
• implementation, testing, production deployment and support
• * Able to work with 3rd party logging tools Splunk, ApigeeX analytics and generate daily and weekly reports
• * Able to understand and work on automations on Google cloud platform
• * Able to work and develop pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• * Identify technical dependencies and roadblocks proactively and work with cross-functional teams to remove them

Salary Range: $130,000-$145,000 a year

In order to comply with U.S. laws and regulations applicable to this position, the person(s) hired must possess the ability to obtain US Security Clearance which requires that the person be a U.S. Citizen
