Job summary

Acuren is seeking an API 510/570/653 certified inspector to support operations in Tampa, FL. This is a local callout with travel as needed, focusing on inspection of pressure-retaining equipment and reporting findings for safe operation.

Responsibilities include performing visual and NDE examinations, delivering technically accurate reports, and providing recommendations on repairs or alterations. Travel readiness and ASME/API knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Certification of API 510/570 required.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site.
• API 653 or CWI a plus.
• In-depth API 510/570 and ASME knowledge.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement or alteration for safe operation.
• Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Comply with safe work practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as required.
