Job summary

Lilly Medicine Foundry Operations in Lebanon, IN seeks a Manufacturing Lead Operator to support startup activities and bring manufacturing equipment online. The role requires leadership for production of API molecules, with travel to sites that produce APIs and a focus on safety and quality across operations.

The role involves tactical day-to-day decisions, mentoring the team, and ensuring adherence to cGMP and regulatory requirements while meeting production plans and training needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of directly applicable manufacturing experience, GMP and/or chemical processing strongly preferred.
• 2 years of direct leadership/supervisory experience required.
• API experience strongly preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Support start-up activities to bring manufacturing equipment into service.
• Provide on-the-floor leadership to make tactical day-to-day decisions during the shift.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all operations.
• Follow batch records, SOPs, and work instructions to meet production schedules.
• Communicate at shift passovers and participate in daily huddles to align goals.
• Lead area safety culture and ensure proper housekeeping and PPE usage.
• Troubleshoot process upsets and coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.
