Job summary
Mayo Clinic is seeking a Data Engineer – API & AI Gateway Platform Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise API and AI Gateway platforms. You will leverage Apigee X, Kubernetes, and cloud-native tooling to deliver scalable, secure services across GCP, Azure, and on-prem environments.
The role emphasizes governance, automation, and on-call support within the ISM program, collaborating with application teams and platform engineers to ensure consistent delivery, security, and operational
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent.
- Experience designing and operating API gateways and security controls.
- Strong cloud and container experience across multi-cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support enterprise API and AI Gateway platforms.
- Build scalable proxies, enforce security, and manage lifecycle governance.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and testing.
- Collaborate with architects and platform teams across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for platform reliability.
