Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an API 510/570/653 Inspector in Memphis, TN. The role involves inspecting pressure vessel and piping equipment to certify compliance, assess needs for repairs, and ensure safety standards across multiple industries.

Travel may be required and reports are delivered to clients. The ideal candidate holds API certifications and has at least one year of related inspection experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Possess API certification (510, 570, and/or 653) with at least one year of related experience.
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical school or college credits preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Capable of climbing, working at high elevations and in confined spaces.
• Clear communication abilities and vision/observation skills.
• Manual dexterity for routine office duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity.
• Perform visual inspection of completed work and recommend and approve repairs.
• Assist in scheduling activities related to inspection.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper equipment.
• Complete customer and company forms and paperwork.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Complete required training and tests within guidelines.
• Handle multiple tasks and changing assignments on short notice.
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines and deliver reports to clients.
• Work outdoors in a plant environment with possible travel.
