Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an API 510/570/653 Inspector to join our Jacksonville, FL team. The role involves inspecting pressure vessels, piping, and tanks to certify compliance and recommend repairs per API standards across industries such as manufacturing, petrochemical, and power generation.

The ideal candidate will perform inspections, write detailed reports, and travel as needed. We offer comprehensive health benefits, PTO, per diem for travel, and 401(k) with company match after 90 days.

Qualifications

• API certification (510, 570, and/or 653) with at least one year of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or college credits preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Capable of climbing, working at high elevations and in confined spaces.
• Ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells; clear communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity of refinery equipment.
• Visual inspection of completed work; recommend and approve repairs.
• Assist in scheduling inspection-related activities.
• Adhere to safety procedures and use required equipment.
• Complete forms and paperwork accurately; follow company policies.
• Deliver reports to clients; work outdoors in plant environments.
• Travel may be required periodically.
