Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking a qualified API Inspector (510/570/653) to join our Memphis, TN team. You will inspect pressure vessels, piping, and above-ground tanks to certify compliance and recommend repairs in line with API standards across industries such as manufacturing, petrochemical, and power generation.

The role emphasizes safety, on-time reporting, and field inspections with potential travel and on-site work in a plant environment.

Qualifications

• Possess API certification (510 and/or 570) with at least one year of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED; technical school or college credits preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Ability to climb, work at heights, and access elevated platforms in refinery/plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity of refinery equipment.
• Visual inspection of completed work and recommend/approve repairs.
• Assist in scheduling inspection-related activities.
• Deliver reports to clients and ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
• Travel may be required on a periodic basis.
