Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking an Apheresis Nurse to provide comprehensive care and coordination for patients undergoing apheresis procedures. The nurse will work within the NM framework, adhering to ethics and policies while delivering evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs emergent or scheduled urgent procedures during on-call hours (8pm-7:30a, weekends/holidays).
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Perform apheresis procedures in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Assess patients pre, during and post procedures for complications and notify the provider.
