Job summary

Allied Orion Group in Houston seeks a Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartments for move-in, perform repairs, and oversee make-ready tasks. You will follow direction from the Community Manager and Maintenance Manager, apply touch-ups and paint, and ensure units are cleaned and inspected before designation as Ready.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read English, and use hand and power tools safely.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools.
• Able to diagnose mechanical or electrical malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Read/write English to read diagrams, meters, and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in.
• Review make-ready board and follow directions from managers.
• Make repairs/replacements per make-ready checklist.
• Apply touch-up and full-paints to interiors/exteriors.
• Clean trash from units before/during/after make-ready.
• Inspect units and schedule follow-up work to designate as Ready.
