Job summary

Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is hiring dependable Apartment Make Ready Technicians for temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities with top apartment management companies. Prior apartment maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities include inspecting vacant units, performing painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance installation to ensure units are ready for occupancy. Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have own tools.
• Minimum of 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Must have valid I.D., reliable transportation, and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units and identify necessary repairs or improvements.
• Perform maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance installation.
• Ensure units are cleaned, functioning, and ready for occupancy by new residents.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and property management to address issues promptly.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Assist with other property maintenance duties as needed.
