Job summary

Conifer Realty in Camden, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician for affordable housing communities. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, and participate in on-call rotation.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and good communication. The position offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, and benefits.

Qualifications

2+ years of apartment/residential maintenance experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Reliable transportation and willingness to cover overtime or nearby communities.
Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders and timekeeping.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance (painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cleaning).
Maintain grounds and curb appeal (landscaping, snow/ice removal, seasonal upkeep).
Respond quickly to work orders and rotate for on-call coverage (30-minute response).
Follow safety, property, and inspection standards meticulously.
Collaborate with peers and residents with empathy and pride.
