Job summary

Axiom Properties, Inc. is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to keep our residential community in Wauwatosa, WI in top condition. You will handle a variety of maintenance tasks to prepare homes for new move-ins and promptly respond to resident service requests.

This hands-on role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting and carpentry, along with completing work orders and preventative maintenance. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining apartment communities or similar properties.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and perform repairs efficiently.
• Familiarity with work orders and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins by completing maintenance and repair work.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Troubleshoot and repair residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues.
• Complete drywall repairs, painting, door and lock maintenance, and fixture replacements.
• Inspect community amenities and common areas to ensure they remain safe and well-maintained.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal and ice management.
• Participate in the rotating on‑call schedule for emergency maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
