Job summary

Axiom Properties, Inc. is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations at a residential community in Wauwatosa, WI. You will handle move-in prep, resident requests, and preventative maintenance to keep the property in top condition.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues, completing drywall and paint work, and inspecting common areas. On-call shifts and accurate record-keeping are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance in apartment communities, residential properties, hotels, or similar environments.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general carpentry.
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Familiarity with work order systems and preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins by completing maintenance and repair work.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Troubleshoot and repair residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues.
• Complete drywall repairs, painting, door and lock maintenance, and fixture replacements.
• Inspect community amenities and common areas to ensure they remain safe and well-maintained.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal and ice management.
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
