Job summary

CONAM Management Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for Vela Apartments in Santee, CA. You will perform preventive maintenance on essential systems and assist with turnovers to ensure move-in ready units.

You’ll respond to resident requests, maintain curb appeal, and work with a team to uphold safety standards while supporting on-call emergency maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of apartment maintenance experience with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting to minimize resident disruption.
• Excellent communication with residents, team, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Oversee unit turnovers, inspect, repair, and clean for move-in readiness.
• Maintain curb appeal through landscaping and exterior upkeep.
• Collaborate with technicians, contractors, and PM team.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance.
• Ensure safety compliance in all activities.
