Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Summer Wind in Summerville, SC. This full-time role performs technical and mechanical tasks to keep buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas up to Greystar standards.

You will handle work orders, complete make-readies, manage inventories, and document tasks. The position requires EPA refrigerant certification and a valid driver’s license, with regular safety training and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and complete work orders from residents and preventive maintenance per policy and safety standards.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Track inventory and materials, return unused items, and inform supervisor for re-orders.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Assist in grounds and common area upkeep, cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and debris removal.
• Support cost-saving by repairing parts when possible and proper tool usage; comply with OSHA and safety trainings.
• Periodically inspect vendor work to ensure quality and compliance with standards and scope.
