Job summary

Bryten is hiring a Maintenance Technician to service and maintain our Glendale, AZ community on-site. You will perform make-ready tasks, inspect buildings and grounds, and respond to resident requests to ensure safety and quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, with HVAC certs a plus. You will manage work orders, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with a team to keep facilities well‑kept.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting.
• HVAC certification preferred; additional industry certifications are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Completing service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely, professional manner.
• Diagnosing and repairing issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance on community equipment, buildings, and common areas.
• Preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready and turn processes.
• Conducting routine inspections of buildings, grounds, amenities, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Assisting with inventory management and maintaining appropriate levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Supporting on-call rotation and responding to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work orders, inspections, inventory, and maintenance activities.
• Communicating effectively with residents, vendors, and team members to provide exceptional customer service.
• Promoting a positive, safe, and welcoming community environment.
