Job summary

MAA Ballantyne is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across apartment homes and facilities. You will diagnose and fix HVAC systems, electrical appliances, and plumbing, while maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in multifamily maintenance, HVAC experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in; diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Address plumbing, carpentry, and locks as needed.
• Follow a preventive maintenance schedule and provide follow-up with residents after repairs.
