Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Savannah. You will perform general maintenance and repairs to keep apartment homes and property facilities in excellent condition, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.

We value problem solvers who can diagnose issues quickly and follow a preventative maintenance plan. EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification is required now or within 90 days of hire; a valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartment homes and other property facilities to ensure good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units and related systems.
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry and door hardware.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and provide resident follow-up after repairs.
