Job summary

Windsor Communities seeks a Lease Up Service Technician II in Charlotte, NC. Do you thrive in multifamily maintenance, with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills? You’ll join a team supporting resident services in the University Area.

Hourly pay starts at $20.02–$25.03 per hour, with annual starting compensation ranging from $41,641 to $52,062, plus valuable benefits. This role requires flexibility and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in multifamily residential, commercial or hotel maintenance.
• Intermediate competency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and carpentry.
• Must be available for rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and implement preventative measures in apartment homes, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical and appliance areas.
• Maintain accurate records and complete work orders using smart devices and property management software.
• Provide exceptional service to teammates and residents while upholding company values.
• Support on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Lease Up Service Technician II | Windsor Charlotte, University Area - Charlotte, NC

For the fifth year in a row, Windsor Communities is the recipient of the 2025 Kingsley Excellence Award achieving the top award for Overall Customer Service.

Successful Service Technicians can come from a variety of backgrounds including apartment maintenance, HVAC, general labor, construction, hotel, general building maintenance, and work order management. Must have intermediate competency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry. Must be available to be part of a rotating on call schedule for after hours and weekend emergency response.

Compensation: Our company considers a range of factors including education and experience when determining base compensation.

Hourly: Starting at $20.02 - $25.03 per hour, depending on years of experience, tenure, and location.

Annual Starting Comp: $41,641 - $52,062.

Your Skills

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with multifamily residential, commercial or hotel maintenance
• Familiarity with building safety systems including the fire systems (sprinklers/alarms)
• Ability to use smart devices and property management software for maintaining accurate records and work order completion
• Advanced knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools
• Support the company’s values and cultures by providing exceptional service to teammates and residents
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and apply preventative measures with apartment homes, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical and appliance areas

Requirements

• Site specific certifications such as:
  • EPA Type II preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, some weekend work and ability to participate in the on-call rotations
