Job summary

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Creekside at Pear Ridge Apartments in Dallas, TX. This hands‑on role supports keeping our community safe, efficient and inviting for residents.

We value strong mechanical aptitude, practical repair experience, and the ability to work well independently or with the onsite team. The position follows a five‑day schedule with on‑call rotation and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, facilities maintenance or related skilled trades is a plus.
• Previous apartment maintenance experience is valuable but hands-on experience from other industries can fit too.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and use tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Completing resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems
• Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community
• Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including completing repairs and ensuring homes are move-in ready
• Inspecting apartments, common areas, and building systems for maintenance needs
• Assisting with the upkeep of community amenities, grounds, and common areas
• Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintaining tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas
• Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
• Working closely with the onsite team to keep the community operating at a high standard
