Gaines Investment Trust seeks a Maintenance Technician for Villas at Katy Trail Apartments in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on keeping apartment homes and common areas safe and functional through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

You will assist with preparing vacants and addressing resident requests with professional service. Experience in apartment maintenance or related trades is valued; a valid driver’s license and ability to use tools safely are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience preferred; experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or related trades is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork in a residential property setting.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems.
• Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and ensure move-in readiness.
• Inspect apartments and common areas for maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas; communicate with onsite team.
